ReAct, Seattle's only Multi-ethnic Philanthropic Theatre Company, opens its 2006 season with Michael Brady's To GIllian on Her 37th Birthday. Performances begin March 23rd.

Nearing the second anniversary of Gillian's tragic death, the family gathers back at the beach house where widower David continues to seclude himself. Through the love, support and urgin of those around him, he struggles to re-embrace llife without Gillian.

To GIlian on Her 37th Birthday originally opened in 1983 at New York's Ensemble Studio Theatre starring Gates McFadden and Sarah Jessica Parker which was followed by an Off-Broadway run at Circle in the Square. A film adaptation (with little resemblance to the stage play) was produced in 1996 starring Peter Gallagher, Claire Danes, and Michelle Pfeiffer. This is the first high profile production to play Seattle.

ReAct's Artistic Director David Hsieh is set to direct. The cast features ReAct company members Leilani Berinobis as Esher, Casey Floresca as Cindy, Roberta Furst as Gillian, Kathy Hsieh as Kevin, T.J. Langley as David, Matt Lovell as Paul and Colleen Parker as Rachel.

Established in 1993, ReAct strives to provide affordable quality entertainment using primarily non-traditional and multi-ethnic casting. Its purpose is to give artists of all backgrounds the opportunity to work on mainstream projects they might not normally have access to due to ethnicity, gender, age or experience. A federally recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit philanthropic company, ReAct also works to service the community by using its productions to raise money, awareness and supplies for other arts and humanitarian organizations.ReAct's production will benefit the Lifelong AIDS Alliance, Theatre Puget Sound and other charities, and a canned food drive will benefit Northwest Harvest.

ReAct's 2006 Season will also include The Last Sunday in June (June 9th to July 2nd) and John Guare's Six Degrees of Separation (July 6th-30th).
