Seattle audiences (at The Paramount Theatre, 911 Pine Street) will be the first on Wednesday night to see what promises to be an exciting new concert/show helmed by Richard Jay-Alexander with Musical Direction by Mary-Mitchell Campbell. Much excitement had been brewing in New York, around Ripley-Grier Rehearsal Studios in midtown, on a daily basis, over the last couple of weeks, with people trying to hear or spy on what the musical line-up might be, but the camp has been pretty "mum" on the subject and Chenoweth, herself, seems genuinely excited. One thing everyone reported to us, though, is that they could always hear alot of laughing.
Then, we heard it was like a Broadway High School in the hallways of Carroll Music at the end of last week, with KRISTIN and Encore's GENTLEMEN PREFER BLONDES next door to each other, both doing their sitzprobes. The hallways were full of Broadway performers. BroadwayWorld plans on bringing you a special report and video and will be there on Opening Night to let you all know what to expect when it comes to your city. It looks like this is gonna be the kind of night you don't dare miss and we have confirmed that, along the tour, there will be some "special guests" and material will vary, which means you might wanna see it in a couple places, especially if you are a big KRISTIN fan ... and WHO ISN'T? Now can ABC hurry up and renew GCB, please? For more information and to purchase tickets, visit www.kristin-chenoweth.com.
