Warner Shook, director of South Coast Repertory's acclaimed productions of Born Yesterday and The Last Night of Ballyhoo, returns to SCR with style to stage Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest to run from February 8 through March 9 on the Segerstrom Stage. Low-priced previews are available February 8-14. Opening night is February 15.

Four-time Tony Award winner Angela Lansbury makes a return to the Broadway stage heading the cast of This is on Me, An Evening of Dorothy Parker, a staged reading adapted by Tom Fontana to benefit The Acting Company on Sunday, November 5, 7pm at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre, 236 West 45th Street. Boyd Gaines, Harriet Harris, Lisa Banes and Lynn Collins complete the cast.

LA Drama Critics Circle Announces 2005 Nominations

The Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle has announced its nominations and special awards for excellence in Los Angeles and Orange County theatre for the year 2005. The 37th Annual Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Awards ceremony will take place Monday, March 13 at the El Portal Theatre, located at 5269 Lankershim Blvd., North Hollywood.
