Fidelity FutureStage enables over 600 NYC students from 10 different public schools to get a real view into the world of Broadway theater. Students learn firsthand from industry professionals about acting, playwriting, directing and all the behind-the-scenes production. They also attend Broadway shows and each student writes a 10-minute play. Below are the plays selected from each of the participating schools that will be performed by the students at New World Stages this June.
In Search of Euphoria

After losing his mother in a drunk driving accident, Adam and his father find themselves venting their anger at each other. With the help of an insightful homeless woman in the park and a visitation of his mother's ghost, Adam resolves to patch up his relationship with his father.
Street Walker

When a homeless boy saves a girl from getting mugged, she discovers his talent and passion for becoming an artist, as well as his difficult past. She encourages him to put the pain behind him and pursue his dreams.
In Your Head

David is not following his heart and his ID (Inner Desire) is dying. This play takes place inside David's head as his Hope and ID try to figure out how to save ID's life by awakening David out of his passionless life.

Through Each Line of Pain and Glory - A Grandson's Song

A touching story of a boy who learns that his grandmother is diagnosed with dementia. His story is told through a series of flashbacks as he holds onto his happy memories of his life with her.
