Equity Company Members of Theatre Presents A SHADE OF GREEN Through 2/19

Updated-Equity-Company-Members-of-Theatre-Presents-A-SHADE-OF-GREEN-20010101

The Equity Company Members of Theatre 9/12 present the World Premiere of A SHADE OF GREEN (formerly SHADES OF GREEN) by Artistic Director Charles Waxberg, directed by Producing Director Paul O’Connell and Mr. Waxberg; featuring Artistic Associate Terry Edward Moore, company member Michael Oaks, and Seattle actor Gregory Michaels.

In A SHADE OF GREEN An accountant for the Pittsburgh archdiocese is requested by a serial killer to meet 19 days before his execution, and he doesn’t know why. After spending 8 years in Los Angeles, the author wrote this spellbinding play exploring integrity when he moved to Seattle. A SHADE OF GREEN asks at every turn, what would you do?

Performances are through February 19, 2012; Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 pm; matinees Saturdays and Sunday, February 19 at 2:00 pm. Performances at Trinity Parish Church, 609 8th Avenue, Seattle 98104. All performances are pay-what-you-can-afford. Free parking available at Skyline Garage on Columbia.

For reservations and more information, visit http://theatre912.com, email EquityMemberProject@theatre912.com, or call (206) 332-7908.

Terry Edward Moore returns to Theatre 9/12, where he directed The Cherry Orchard and appeared in Act One:Six Sundays and The Madwoman of Pioneer Square. Locally he has acted at ACT (Mary Stuart, Miss Witherspoon, Arcadia and as both Scrooge and Marley) and Seattle Repertory Theater (The Road to Mecca, Art and Pygmalion). The Seattle Times labeled his performances in An Enemy of the People (Taproot), Howards End (Book-It) and as Billy in Billy Bishop Goes To War at the Bathhouse Theatre as "stellar performances.”

Michael Oaks appeared in Theatre 9/12's productions of Everything in the Garden, The Cherry Orchard, The Oddwoman of Pioneer Square and Duty, Honor, Profit. Other local credits include: Three Screams for Man Alone Productions; Tartuffe, The Misanthrope, and The Phaedra Project for Ghost Light Theatricals; and annual productions of Ham for the Holidays with Lisa Koch and Peggy Platt. Regional credits include Oskar Rolfe in Judgment at Nuremburg, Lord Henry Wotton in The Picture of Dorian Gray, and multiple roles in The Complete History of America (Abridged).

Greg Michaels has been privileged to interpret roles in Pinter, Rostand, Stoppard, Shakespeare and Chekov. He’s played good guys, bad boys, fools, kings and once, a warrior elf! This spring Greg pitches his historical fiction novel Casanova to New York literary agents.

At Theatre 9/12, trained and working actors, both union and non-union, continue to develop their talents and skills through workshops and performances. Their efforts climax with productions presented through the Actors’ Equity Association Members’ Project Code. Theatre 9/12 staff assists these union actors in making these projects come to life.
